My thongs usually ride on top of my crack and not in. Just don't wear a thong that is too small because they will go right into your crack. They are quite comfortable once you start wearing them. You can wear a thong pretty much at anytime.

Generally stay out on top some... when you get one, just sort of adjust it so it is in-line with the crack, don't push it up there or anything. It will move up as you walk around of course, but if it fits properly and is made of quality material you won't even notice it.

That's pretty much what they're for. (This is why one of the less socially acceptable -- though stingingly accurate -- names for thongs is "butt-floss.")

The theoretical benefit to this is that you don't have visible panty lines when you wear snug, form-fitting pants, skirts or dresses. The fabric drapes seductively over nothing but skin, because the thong is safely tucked in where it won't make a ridge under your clothing.

yes, and you just have to get used to it. you can try to have them "lay" on top but they'll just go back to getting stuck up there. Note: if you need to adjust, go to a bathroom! no one wants to see that. :) they're the best option if you don't want to go "commando" but don't want panty lines either. good luck! it took me a while to get used to them!
