How many of you think that pronography destroys a relationship? I'm not talking about an addiction, I'm talking about an ocassional x-rated movie with your spouse.

Like many sexual compatibility questions, this one should be answered *before* marriage. No woman enjoys being begged or forced to watch porn.

But selection is important too. Porn producers know their main clients are men, so they are created with a man's point of view in mind. And that is often the "i'm gonna do you you dirty little skank you" attitude. Why else are there 4 hour long movies of nothing but 2 minute clips of chicks with big boobs finishing off guys by giving them head?
Many porn genres are degrading to women. All these 'gag on it b*tch I don't care if you puke now let's do some a$s-2-mouth scenes' movies are unhealthy.

But couples porn and the 'artsy' porn films are fun, exciting, well-photographed so it's not like a well-lit anatomy lesson, and can be very erotic.

If both parties want to give it a go, they add spice. Even women can get very aroused watching good porn. Plus there's variety - you can play the let's-try-what-we-see-tonight game, or take turns giving each other head while the movie plays, have a sensual snack (wine, cheese, grapes, etc.) during, whatever.

If both parties are okay with the content, I say enjoy since its your business what you do in your bedroom. Do they ruin a relationship? Only when someone is watching under protest.

Well I never had a problem with it in my previous relationships. The sex was great and some pornography never upset me, it was not instead of me but in addition to me & sometimes we watched it together and it was fun. Now my current boyfriend is addicted to porn, he cannot not watch nearly every day. I used to fight him against it but actually have reached a level where I don't care and disrespect him for it which clearly is unhealthy. So yes, pornography and relationships can go together, as long as stays occasional, healthy and the sex is good. As soon as one of the partners starts feeling uncomfortable with it, it means that there's something wrong and should be addressed (if possible- doesn't seem like there is always a solution except breaking up...).

The thing is that if one person is upset about porn in a relationship then it is a problem. Even if it is only an occasional indulgence.

Yes I believe pornography can destroying marriages, but only as far as one is willing to fight about it. Communication with your spouse is key and respect is a must within a marriage. Without these things a marriage cannot be saved.

I don't have a problem with porn in my house, my husband and I occationally use it. It is not a deal breaker for us.

Hell no!

I've enjoyed porn, to a moderate degree over the years. My wife doesn't like it as much as I, but does under the right circumstances.

We've been together for 30 years. If it destroys relationships, then it doesn't seem to be working.

I think its fum for both partners. If you try to be in a uptight marriage with no porn or no sex toys I think the marriage will fall apart. Face it those were the old days when sex toys and porn was not popular. You really don't want your spouse to leave you because he/she thinks there is no action in the bedroom.

an occasional x-rated WITH your spouse won't ruin a marriage. It IS the addiction to porn that will ruin a marriage. Ask my husband...he knows. He ruined ours because of an addiction to it.

Depending on the couple and if it's used mutually, it could make things sooooooooo much better.

well, when we watch porn we never get more than 15 minutes into it before we are doing it ourselves.
If something makes you horny for eachother I don't see how it could destroy a marriage.
