I'm in favor because its my right to bear arms. What happens If they made it illegal to have guns in the USA the only people with guns would be the police and the bad guys and the bad guys out number the people about a 100 to one. Then who will protect you if the police is busy or dead or in a gun fight with all of the bad guys. It will be you and your illegal gun. and you have a right to defend your life or the lives of your family or an innocent 3rd party. Call 911 and the some times take over and hour to help you.

In favor.

According to the writings of Thomas Jefferson entitled "The Articles of the Federation" which was the blueprint of the constitution and the bill of rights, the second amendment only exists for one reason.

To insure that the people can overthrow the government if the government turns to tyranny or oppression.

In accordance with this reasoning all weapons should be available to the people not just a hunting rifle.

Keep in mind that the inventor of gun control was Hitler who disarmed the people and then slaughtered them.

I am a Soldier, member of NRA and Own weapons. So figure out my answer.

Anyone against our second amendment is just ignorant. A country without a right to bear arms is a country ready to be taken by it's government...

here is what the second amendment says:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

So a militia, and the right to bear arms will not be infringed. This allows locals to form their own militia should they feel the need and the people of America to bear Arms.

Learn how to comprehend the most important document in our history, okay...

I am fully in favor of our right to bear arms. The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution declares the necessity for "a well regulated militia", and prohibits infringement of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms." Also it's nice to be able to defend your family and posessions. Not to mention your own life. The origin of the Second Amendment also occurred in context of an ongoing debate about "the people" fighting governmental tyranny. Just my 2 points worth.

I am in favor of it completely. The people who are going to use a gun to kill people can get it anywhere they want to, its just like getting illegal drugs. I personally would rather have a gun to protect myself from these criminals. Think about this. If you are a criminal, who are you more likely to try to rob, rape, kill? The people that do or don't have a gun? If there is a possibility that people may have guns on them, maybe the criminals will be less likely to hurt victims. If no one can have these guns, other than the criminals who get them on the black market, how can we feel safe in our own homes?
One example: In Texas, they allow guns, except banks said that they would not allow guns in there, so people didnt bring them.
There was one bank that did however allow them. The other banks got robbed, because the robbers knew that they were the only ones with the power of a firearm, yet that one bank never got robbed. If someone would have tried to rob them, they would have put themselves in danger. i personally don't care if the criminal gets shot and killed for what they did. That would be one less cirminal in America.

I am in favor of it. Just as soon as the government figures out a way to get all of the weapons out of the hands of criminals in this country, then they can have mine (maybe). Until then I unequivocally support the 2nd Amendment. I've got one close at hand when I'm sleeping at night. Any criminal who breaks into my house is going to have a 50/50 chance of survival. My survival? I've raised my percentages by arming myself against them and I've got the 2nd Amendment to thank for that.

I'm in favor of all the Amendments. They are rights guaranteed to me by the Constitution and I'll be very angry if one of these loopy lefties starts screwing around with the 2nd Amendment because, the next thing you know, someone will be screwing around with the 1st Amendment too. Anyone who says that the 2nd Amendment is a bad thing is loony.
