I have owned Asian water dragons and found pretty quickly that they have extremely aggressive tendencies. First and foremost, your enclosure needs to be no more than 3 feet by 2. Water dragons are agamids, and too small an enclosure will stress them. Are they more of a brownish green? Are your males blue stripes only slightly visible? These are signs of stress. Consider a 75 gallon tank.

They are perfectly capable of living together in peace. Is the underbelly of your male yellow? If so it means he is sexually mature and may be ready to mate. Agamid mating rituals are extremely brutal, your male will beat up on her. Many mated females are disfigured and permanently injured.

You might consider feeding outside of your terrarium on cage carpet, and even separating the two for feedings.

It's most likely stress from the transition to a new home, but I cannot stress enough to you the importance of an appropriately sized terrarium.

He could be trying to mate although it's not the right season but I have seen it happen in winter before. If this is the case, as long as he's not tearing her up, let this go and they'll most likely work it out by them self's. because you said they lived together, I don't think it's a domain thing but keep an eye on them and again...if he not really hurting her, don't worry too much.

How old are they first off and they are usually teritorial when there is another dragon in the cage. Mine chased eachother around and They wave there arms and bob there heads if they are doing this than it is totally normal.
