I have a 35 day cycle and I started having some dark brown bleeding the last 3 days, just enough to use maybe 2 pantiliners a day. What could this be and what could be causing it? My husband and I are TTC, but I'm positive this has nothing to do with being pregnant. Going to the Drs tomorrow just looking for some opinions.

It's probably old blood. I get that at the end of my period. I don't think that it's anything to worry about.

Dark Brown Blood = old blood. However if you are TTC you might wanna take a pregnancy test. Some woman spot the first month when they really are pregnant. But, if your not pregnant then it may simply be the begining of your period or that you just don't have enough built up in the linning of your uterus to slough off. (normally happens when woman are on BC). If you are on any kind of medication to TTC then this could cause it as well. I wouldn't be to concerned. GOOD LUCK with the TTC!

dark brown bleeding is "old blood" and usually indicates estrogen withdrawl. how old are you? perhaps you are perimenopausal. as long as it's not lasting more than 7 days i wouldn't worry about it. if you reach a point where it won't stop (lasts > 7 days) the dr will most likely prescribe a weeks course of estrogen. you may find that using a menopause supplement that contains phytoestrogens (even if your not menopausal) helpful, but do not take these if your on any hormonal birth control.

dark brown bleeding is usually old blood. it might just be some that stayed in your system from last time or from an old sore. in any case seeing your doctor is the best thing to do. an exam and tests are the best way to find out if there is something wrong.

i dont think it is serious, when the ovule is realeased from the ovaries the body builds a lining so that if you have intercourse and get pregnent the ebryo grows safley, i think because your cycle is 35 days the lining grows more then its deposited (period)

if its brown, its old blood
for whatever reason, your body just never got a chance to clear itself out
