My normal cycle was 28-32 days. Last month for some reason (highly possible, stress at work) it was 36 days. And this month seems to be quite calm for me , yet I am on the 38 day of the cycle now (that's at least 6 days delay). Today I have taken e.p.t. test (I found out later on the i-net that it is 40 Hgc sensitivity) but it turned out negative. I have at home First responce too (that is considered to be 25 Hgc) and I will try it by the end of the week if nothing happens. But I wanted to ask those who were really pregnant but tests showed negative. How soon did you go to the doctor and did they find the "+" result at once? I have read that some women don't show positive at home pregnancy tests up to 3 months. Is it normal? Why does it happen? Please, help. God Bless You all.

It's possible to get false negatives on home pregnancy tests due to the amount of HcG that is released in the urine being insufficient, very unlikely to get a false positive however.

If you think you could be pregnant go to see your doctor as soon as possible, a simple blood test will give you a positive result of pregnancy at the earliest of stages. It will put your mind at rest and you will know one way or the other if youre pregnant or not.

As for home pregnancy kits, no matter what the box says it is generally best to wait until you have missed a period by two weeks or more before checking for the levels of hormone in your urine.

Good luck and I hope the final result is the one that you want.

Congratulations! You are absolutely pregnant. The change within the exams would without difficulty be the manufacturer (a few are identified to continuously be gentle), the sensitivity (physician's workplace exams don't seem to be continuously probably the most touchy, suppose it or now not) and the truth that you're so early, and also you obviously weren't making use of first morning urine whilst you gave the pattern on the physician's workplace. I pray you've got a healthful, and joyful, being pregnant and a splendidly healthful youngster for your fingers approximately eight months from now:) Congratulations once more!

Hi, i took 5 pg tests which were all negative and i didnt find out i was prgnant untill i was 2months! i think the best idea is to go to the doctor and they can do a test and also a blood test which is much more accurate. hope this helps,
ps if your period is only around a week late it may be too early to hormone levels in your urine may still be too low.

I didn't have my periods for six months my dr told me it was unlikely that I would get pregnant but took pregnancy tests regularly and all negative. Took one Christmas 1996 still negative, then my boobs started to get sore and I was tired. Took another one and it was positive! Went to the dr and he said it was unlikely but not impossible. I was 6 weeks pregnant and didn't know!
