I have a 1yr old daughter and will be taking night classes and by the time I get through school she will be getting ready to go to school. And I want to know about careers that can keep me on a schedule with her so that I can be as present in home as possible. Also what do you feel is a satisfying and rewarding career in your opinion?

If it is something you would like you should consider teaching. That way you will be on the same schedule as your daughter. When she is on a break from school you will be too. But I have to warn you I am working during the day and taking night classes to be a teacher and I am slowly running out of classes to take at night. It is hard to find math and science classes that you need and any education classes.

Hmmm? There are not too many jobs out there that will offer the freedom that you want in being with your child from what I know of unless they are home-based. However, I have heard about this medical transciption course that people can do online. Once finished, you transcribe notes for doctors. I have not tried it though. Nevertheless, I have three kids and I am majoring in Psychology. One of my co-workers advised that I try to be a school counselor because that way, I will have the summer off to spend time with my kids when they are out of school. I am thinking about going to get an alternative teaching license so I can be a school counselor. So maybe Education might be a good career path, however the classes are time consuming.

It really all depends on your interests. I myself have been interested in reporting and journalism since I was seven and now strive for a job as a journalist. Of course, I have to finish High School.
