I am a Dodgers fan, glad to see JD Drew go, he is not worth that kind of money, his stat does not justify it, Drew never played a full season and I don't think he ever will. I believe Red Sox are shopping for Manny, and it's a stupid idea, there is no way Drew be able to protect Big Papi as good as Manny does.

i think of Boston is sending a message to Manny that he's expendable and not above the group with the help of signing Drew, besides the shown fact that Beantown spend loads of dough for a guy that for the duration of straightforward terms hit 20 HR in 2006 and falter in the process the playoffs. Drew has a acceptance of being comfortable and forsaking communities whilst they choose him the main; with the help of going to a baseball city like Boston, Drew has to step up or he's going to be the hot comedian tale in a city that's unforgiving to undesirable Boston gamers. remember, Scott Boras (or i like to call the prince of darkness) convince Drew to decide out of his contemporary 5 year deal and that i does not be marvel if he did the comparable to Boston 2 years later if he had the prospect (how ironic that Boston sign a 5 year deal additionally, yet 15 million extra effective than what the Dodgers paid him).

Guess what?? Boston wants to buy a pennant and world series!! I don't want to hear anymore junk about the Yankees always wanting to buy another world series. EVERYONE IS SPENDING MONEY!!! But JD (I will never play in Philadelphia) Drew is overrated!! Just another journeyman major leaguer getting paid way more than he is worth, (about 69.5 million more than he's worth)!!! Once again Boston only proves to the general public that first and foremost they hate the Yankees with a passion and at the same time they are still "YANKEE WANNABES"!! By the way, Drew is poison in the locker room. He and Boston deserve each other.

Pretty soon every mediocre player will get a salary equal to the Gross National Product of many of the smaller countries. Shame on the owners and greedy players. It's going to end when tickets get to about $75 for bleachers, which in my cynical opinion is not that far off. GIve Einstein, Edison, Gates and humanitarians that kind of money - in short, those that help society. Sports is not that important that the highest-paid jobs should be in that industry - that honor should belong to cops, teachers, firefighters, nurses and others like them. The fans have no one to blame but themselves.
