Consider also Asheville, North Carolina's airport, http://www.flyavl.com You'll drive through some gorgeous scenery enroute to Pigeon Forge. Plus, Asheville itself is fairly interesting, and the Biltmore Estate is nearby. AVL airport is served by Continental, Delta, Northwest, and USAir.
Depending where you're coming from in Florida, Allegiant Air might be a good (and cheaper) alternative. They fly from St. Petersburg Airport and Orlando Sanford Airport to Knoxville and Chattanooga. http://www.allegiantair.com

Fly into ATL and rent a car. It's about 2 and a half hours to Pigeon Forge. But I'd just drive the whole way. I-75 north.
