Do you want a life partner or a German shepherd? Marriage isn't about one person obeying the other - in fact, many marriage ceremonies these days omit that word in the vows. Besides, when you DO include it, it's a two-way street: YOU vow to love, honor and obey HER, and she vows to love, honor and obey YOU in return.

If that's what you're looking for in a marriage, then yes, get out of this relationship now - she's not going to magically change when she slips on your ring.

Not now. If your dating now and she don't understand your economic status now. Don't you think it's going to get worse when you marry her. Legally she has the right to spent your money, go over broad with credit cards, put credit cards in your name. There's so much she can do after your married. And obeying is not a good word to use, for a grown person. It would of been better to use she not understanding or listen to me when I tell her about my economic status. Or she not respecting any thing I'm saying. And she not. Is OK to love a person like this. No one is perfect. Just don't marry one or wait until she acts mature. Or when she get's it. She may never get it . If I was you I'll put a time limed on this one. Life is to short. Have her read ten stupid things couples do to mess up their relationships and it won't hurt if you read it too by Dr. Laura C. Schlessinger

You should never marry anyone if there is any doubts whatsoever in either one of you. For better or for worse are very real and do need to be obided in any relationship. If you cant count on that alone...never mind the other vows...then you have nothing because part of bein married....is being partners..best friends....dont best friends stand by one another?? I thnk if you say it out loud and ask yourself that question...you will answer it for yourself.

Wait a minute.... what does obedience have to do with economic status and marriage?

You are equally bound inmarriage no matter what bacon you bring home....

Maybe you should both see a counsellor before you get married so you get an idea of what marriage is really about.....

Obeying? Are you her father and is she like 5? If you want to marry her, then she should be your PARTNER not YOUR SLAVE. She is probably in doubt because of the way you treat her - anyway if she is in doubt then she probably don't want to marry you
