Yes it is very possiable.

For the first 8 months of my pregnancy I was having a boy. This was a high risk pregnancy which means tons of ultrasounds. Finally at 8 and half months, someone said I bet you cant wait till your daughter is born, I said no you mean son. She said NO Girl.. pointed it out, we were floored!!!

Now we joke and say she broke it off..

It is possible to make a mistake.... if the genitals are not clear in the ultrasound they will not give you a gender, they will tell you that they are unable to see.

Sonographers are more likely to make a mistaken prediction of a girl rather than a boy. (If you are told you are having a boy, there is a higher probability of them being right)

There are so many variables - position, age of fetus, quality of US equipment, etc...the older the fetus, the better chance of the genitals being developed, but position may still be an issue - some babies just seem to be a little more 'shy' than others...some let you see everything while others won't let you peek at all...

Very possible since sometimes a baby's genitals are not fully developed at the time of the ultrasound or because of the position of the baby the genitals can not be clearly seen.

Yes it is possible. Need more details.

Very early in the pregnancy the clitoris and the penis are the same size, and the scrotum does look like a splitted vulva....

Later on, as the differenciation increases and the likelyhood of an error is less....

Yes.
Depends on how much baby cooperates and how experienced the doc/tech is at reading the u/s results.
A friend of a friend was told she was having her second daughter on more than one u/s. On April Fools Day, she gave birth to a boy!

Yep. My friend was told from month 4 she was having a boy and the day she gave birth the only girl in the nursery was hers. Her husband was very disapointed.

Of course it is! They tell you "nothing is 100%" and they could be wrong. At least mine did every time, and a couple of people I knew were told wrong.
