It's not conservatives, it's the neoconservatives. The Neocons created a think tank called the Project for a New American Century. Their goal is to "spread moral clarity" around the world. Members include...Bruce Jackson ex CEO of Lockheed-Martin, Donald Rumsfeld before and during his tenure as Secretary of Defense, and of course William Kristol. Their plan for this war was to simultaneously make Raytheon and Lockheed billions, while making Halliburton billions, or KBR more specifically. The problem with the Neocons is that they have no grasp on real foreign policy, or diplomacy. They are such a small group and I find it shocking that they are beginning turn all of the rational minded conservatives (yes I said it) into insane theocratic spartans with simple spin in the media. If anyone wether they be conservative or liberal, actually looked into the neocon think tanks, the ammount of our money they spent on their failed Rumsfeld doctrine, they'd be disgusted equally.

no its a fact that it always happens when a tyrannical dictator is taken out of power. or any new govt. there is a void and internal strife occurs. Look it up . not once in history has a new idea come about in politics and not had fighting. How long did it take the US to come to agreements after the secession from Britain? heres a hint... more than 3 years.

It has to be the Bush's incompetence. I don't think attacking another country and going to war is a conservative policy, at all.

I think it has allot to do with the core of conservatism and this idea that the world is every man for himself and when you try to occupy someones land without the world as a whole together for the cause this is the outcome. Sorry Republicans but it is, we are all in this together not every man for himself.
