Sandals Inn is across the street from the public beach. Photos of this property is where it LOOKS like it is on the beach. Sandals Inn is the least expensive of all Sandals. Sandals Ocho Rios is going to be a much better choice, but the biggest factor is budget. Are you on a strict budget and if so this might determine the property for you. They have Sandals Inn as an option for people to have the Sandals experience at a lower cost than some of the others.
The water is clear yes although seen it clearer on other islands and the beaches are not really pure white sand, more of a light brown, but very soft.

Stay at Sandals Ocho Rios, don't stay at Montego Bay.
Best Beach is at Ocho Rios. You can always take the Sandals shuttle bus to other Sandals properties for dinner or activities or into town for shopping.
