Like I said the make of the boiler is a Linea (Zokera). It always locks out. A red light flashes where the green light is & shows error code 07 and I keep having to switch the boiler off then turn it back on again. .In addition to this, the water pressure keeps going down daily even though I always try to re-pressurise it. I have called an engineering firm (CORGI reg) and two different people have had a look at it, but the problem still persists. I believe I am being ripped off. Is there something that should be done? The last time an engineer came out (which was yesterday), he said that something on top had no air and was flat (maybe guage, but I am not sure) and he got a little pump to pump some air into it. The boiler is not that old-about 4 years I think.

Can somebody give me some invaluable advice regarding my problems?

Also, can someone please tell me how much it will cost to buy & install a new boiler (a good make but not the very expensive brands).

Thanks Guys.

Hi Ayo, i don't know this manufacturer but had a look on the Internet to see if they are still trading. They have a website at www.vokera.co.uk
You can download the manual from there and they have a couple of helplines. I have always found manufacturers helpful when trouble shooting - when you get through ask for technical assistance.
From your description the unit may have an expansion vessel which the engineer pressurised. Inside is a diaphragm which may be leaking or the Shraeder valve but that is guesswork. I suggest you find out what the error code is telling you and take it from there. You can buy a boiler from about £700 but by the time you have a couple of fitters on the job for a couple of days you can double or treble that. Good Luck

Hi, i've had limited experience with these boilers and from experience and the installer manual, code 07 indicates that the primary thermistor or wiring loom has developed a fault. If you contact vokera, they will send a service engineer who will diagnose the problem and generally have the parts on their van to rectify the problem.
As for a new make of boiler, its alot like buying a new car, and its down to personal choice but worcester bosch are generally pretty good and so is their back up.

The "flat" item is the expansion vessel, it is a bladder that absorbes the heated water. It can lead to your described problem. Having said that any boiler engineer worth his salt will have the savvy to stand in front of your boiler and call the makers tech. help and get them to talk him through the problems instead of guessing.

i'm sorry i can't help, but i moved into my first house and it has that boiler too. it's rubbish, we've spent a couple of hundred quid over the past year replacing bits and calling people out to lok at it, it still doesn't work.

i'd cut your losses if i were you and invest in a new opne, with insurance...

good luck.

the flashing red light is the reset button hold it in for ten seconds and it should be okay if it keeps happening you need a engineer to check your gas supply

Get a technician to check it out...there could be problems in wiring or some part could have failed....he needs to give it a look
