It's usually not too hot (according to how hot it gets here in the summer) but for a person that's used to living in a cold country, the weather is good to even swim in the sea!!!
It's usually sunny and about 20-25 Celsius grades but an old Greek saying says : "ÎάÏÏÎ·Ï Î³Î´Î¬ÏÏÎ·Ï ÎºÎ±Î¹ κακÏÏ ÏαλοÏ
κοκαÏÏηÏ"
which means that In March it sometimes gets so cold that we need to light the fireplace and so we have a chance to burn all the wood that remained from the winter time...

I often go to Athens in March and it is nice to see some sunshine and feel a little warmer after a long, dark winter in England.
It is usually around 18-19c, but can be a little warmer or cooler. It can still be a little rainy at times and it does get a bit chilly in the evenings.
Your other answerer is right about the islands. They tend to be windier and a little cooler by a few degrees than Athens.
Whatever - it is still nicer weather than England !

Check the link below for a link to weather underground which has historical and average data.
Athens is always more extreme than the islands because the islands always have winds.
Late March can be stormy or sunny; always cold at night.
Late April starts the consistently good weather.
