Who are you -- to answer anything I might ask?
Yes, you, who are you?
[[[[[As of me, who am I to ask you who you are, and if you know who you are, what serves as the foundation of your identity cognition, is it pure logic inference? Is it concrete, almost mathematical derivatives?
And, if you have any concrete answers, tell me why you do not ask yourself why mankind does not reduce its population to 20% of its actual number, even if it means that YOU would be one of those of the billions comitted to be disposed of.
And, blah, blah, blah...(ad infinitum)]]]]]

dear H: the psychopaths who own the planet agree with you on genocidal population reduction. they have numerous programs underway: chemtrails, bio-engineeered diseases, outright murder--darfur, arranged "civil wars" all over africa, generally, fomenting of death in the middle east, war whenever and wherever possible at all times, etc. to further this agenda, and to earn themselves yet more money through the usual war profiteering. as for blah, blah, blah--turn off your hyper- stimulated left brain and you may get some answers that are actually healing and helpful. meditation, anyone? ;-)

We don't deliberately reduce the population that much, because to do so would be to eliminate an untold wealth of human potential. And how would you go about deciding who does and does not make the cut? What standards would you use? You're talking about an ethical dilemma from Hell! So, to answer the first question now, I am a person who chooses not to drive myself crazy asking unsavory questions that have no answers, and no practical point. The goal of philosophy, as I understood it, is to develop and defend a system of thought, not to go mad and cease thinking.

I am a carbon-based life form, female, 18, fairly tall. I enjoy reading, aspire to be a writer, and also love brain-draining activities such as watching cartoons.

I am what I was born and what I aquired. I have been shaped by society, experiences, and genetics.

The foundation of my identity is my experiences and feelings, and, to a much lesser degree, my physical self.

Personality has nothing to do with logic; it is an individual and their own set of quirks, of vices.

I do not ask myself why mankind does not reduce its population because that would require massive death, and I am against genocide. As well as being against the elimination of me.

Is this what you were looking for?

I agree on it being a very important question, the second most. But i think that the Why is more important, since it might help you answer the second most important question.
