Before they used to wear their white sweaters @ home, and now they wear the dark and/or 3rd one @ home. I personally dont like it, I tend to get a little confused sometimes as to who is @ home..What do U think?

originally you wore darks at home. In the last 70s they changed it to whites at home, and just recently changed it back.

I like the home whites. I guess because I grew seeing the home team in white.

There are too many black and red teams. I think they should go back to home white, its more intimidating having an away team coming to your arena wearing their team color. I've said it before, the Sabres jerseys SUCK, yet they have the vintage jerseys that are great. The Sabres should wear those vintage jerseys full time, I like the Avalanche alterantes with Colorado going diagonal down the front. The White Senators jerseys are very good with looking traditional. There are too many teams with flashy jerseys when they should be distinct like th original 6 teams. Look at the Red Wings, they have red jerseys with a white stripe on the sleeve and thr bottom, and they're great, then you got teams like the Predators.

I'm pretty sure this is a marketing thing. Notice that it changed after the Alternate jersey started becoming popular. Also, I'm sure it had to do alot with the home team wearing their 3rd jersey, which is a dark color. This might have been frustating for a visiting team, who already had their dark jerseys, to go back and get their home jerseys.

I like that they wear the darks at home. The dark jerseys have the potential to be the most colorful and most creative, and I think the home fans like to see their favorite team wearing the teams colors. Then you have the third jersey's which are fun to see as well. Every team in the league has a white sweater and I think its better that they wear the plainer jersey on road games.

I much prefer the home whites. I'm the same way as you, in that it always takes me a second to realize that the home team is in the dark uniforms.

Every once in a while, I'll watch highlights where the dark-colored team scores and the fans celebrate, and I'll get confused for half a second. I know it's been this way for a while, but I'd love a return to home whites.

Well I think that really its only personal preference. Personally I like the my home Jersey with dark colors, because being a Canucks fan I've always thought our white Jerseys don't look as nice, as our dark or alternative Jersey's. I think that for my team if the dark colors look better then the fans should be the ones who regularly see them. But that is just my preference.

As nice as the white ones are, the Home dark seems more professional and strong. They also are able to wear the cool dark Alternate jerseys. But it could've been so people buy new jerseys just to have the Home one.

That's what they used to do way back in the day (Darks @ Home and Whites away.) But personally, I like it this way. When I go to home games, they are wearing the brightest colored shirts, and everyone in the stands are wearing the colors proudly too.

Sounds like a great idea. That is what they do here. The other teams also change colors for each season and hold jersey auctions to raise money for their team.

The color of the sweaters is the least of the NHL's problems.

They should try getting at least one competent referee and/or linesman - the kids they have out there now make Terry Gregson look good.
