I've been on the nuva ring and I want to change the week I have my period to the middle of the month. What's the best way to go about doing that? I'm supposed to be on my period now but havent taken the ring out. Can I just take it out and put in another one?

You can use the Nuva Ring for up to 4 weeks if you decide not to have your period (as told to me by my gynocologist and the Nuva Ring website), so yes, you can take it out and put a new one in. However, if you're wanting to have it in the middle of the month, I would leave it in for the rest of the week, take it out after it has been in for 4 weeks, and then put it back in after your period (or after the "ideal" time during which you'd want to have your period), and you should have changed your cycle to when you want.

best of luck,

Yes, while they say to use for 3 weeks, it is not unsafe to continuously use it. My firend has SEVERE issues with her period such as being really heavy bad bad bad cramps & her doctor has her keep one in all the time, so she isnt going a week with out it.

You should be in the clear.
