Hi,
I have had problems with ants in my apartment for the last three months. I have tried to work with them during this time. Basically they send someone out to put poison down once a week if I call them but this has had no effect. I asked them if I could move into a different apartment, but they said 'oh we'll figure it out so you don't have to move'. Is this grounds for terminating my lease and if so, how should I go about it? The state I live in is Texas by the way.
I have a baby on the way, so I would like to get this taken care of quickly.
Thanks

If you can't get your landlord/prop mgmt co to respond and really take care of the problem...call the health department. They will do an inspection and go from there. This method is VERY effective with loser landlords.

Have you tried putting down some RAID ant traps? They seem to work pretty well.

I would suggest going to the landlord and telling them that you will give them one more try to solve the problem. At that time, you will either want to move to another apartment or you will be hiring your own exterminator to handle it and you will be sending them the bill. There is no reason the problem has not been fixed yet; they obviously aren't hiring the right person for the job.
