Likable doesn't equal talent. Without Shaq, the Heats suck, but the Lakers are first in the Pacific. Wade leads the league in turnovers. Hate him or love him, Kobe is just better.

This is an age old question like who is better Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson. They have two different types of games, Michael was a scorer and Magic was a play-maker who scored. While both Kobe and Wade are both scorers they still have two different games while Kobe tries to dominate by doing high flying moves with power(dunks) and shooting threes, Wade just takes it to the hole and tries to score and get contact so that he can get a foul called, although they both pass and share the ball, neither is a play-maker, both are scorers but while Kobe likes to dunk and cares mostly about personal stats, Wade does things that will help the team, which accounts for all the turnovers that he has, While Kobe has less which means that he is not passing all that much and not using his team to win with. One last comparison which really isn't a comparison is, check the rosters, the NBA has Kobe listed as a shooting guard, and Wade listed as a guard. Now while Kobe is arguably the best one on one player in the game right now. He is not a better all around player like Wade. The stats and comparisons stop here. Plus you state that without Shaq the heat suck, without Shaq any team would suck. While Shaq does not make the team, when he is not in the game whether it be with the Lakers or with the Heat, it makes Wade and Kobe work harder. The heat had a pretty good recordwithout Shaq, How did the Lakers do without Shaq in the lineup, check NBA.com, the truth shall set you free.

You are probably right. BUT, if you look at when Kobe was beginning his fourth year look at what he had done compared to what Wade has done. Plus, Wade switched positions coming into the NBA, he went from playing 2 guard at Marquette to running an NBA offense. This brings up anither point though, Wade went to college and Kobe didn't, now Wade got to prepare for the NBA a little more then Kobe did now didn't he. Another thing, it took Kobe a year to get the Lakers back to a playoff team, and Wade has only been without Shaq for a few weeks(or is it a monthnow? I'm not sure). All said, I think at the end of their careers it will be said that Kobe had more talent, and maybe an extra ring compared to Wade because with the way the Cleveland Cavaliers are shaping up I think they will be perennial contenders if they can keep Larry Hughes healthy and find a new big man before Zydrunas Illgauskus retires. Anyhow, I think Wade has the more Jordan-like flair and determination, but Kobe will have more Jordan-like stats.

P.S.- To the person who said Wade was a flop, what in the world are you talking about? A flop? He carried the Heat in the finals and just because he missed those two free throws in Game 6 doesn't make him a flop (if you even watched that series I'm sure you know they won that game and finals along with it). He came in totally under the radar, and look at what we are doing right now. We are comparing him to Kobe Bryant, who is pssibly the most talanted player in basketball, and why was LeBron James not brought into this conversation? I know he hasn't won any rings, but strictly speaking about talent I think he should be considered.

I dont know

Wade can find open players ALOT since he is such a great driver but Kobe has to carry all of the Lakers load so there isn't a way that Wade is better then Kobe cause Kobe is geting better in finding open players

You put Wade on the Lakers and Kobe on the Heat, and you'd see the Heat running away with trophies, and Lakers being a strong and similar team.

Wade is younger than Kobe but Kobe plays better than Wade.

I think you are right. Kobe has proven he can run the show on his own. Wade has shown signs of fatigue lately and needs some help to get things done.
Perhaps this makes Wade more of a team player though.

Kobe Bryant is currently the "Best in the World"
When he retires he might be considered the best ever. (arguably)
Allen Iverson is great but he can't hold Kobe's jock.
Wade is great, but he's only 75% of Kobe.
Wade and Iverson will never even be closely considered for best ever.
Kobe will be with Wilt, Jordan, Byrd, Magic, Russell, Doc J, Gervin ..............
Merry Christmas to everyone
