This is true, I breast fed my son and lost 20 lbs in the first 10 days. My doctor told me that it was because when you breast fed it causes the uterus to contract and go back down to its normal size faster, therefore you lose you stomach faster.

I think that it may depend on your body. I breast fed for 6 weeks and lost weight, but it wasnt until after i stopped breastfeeding that I returned to my prepregnancy weight, I seemed to have lost more after, but I think that it was becuase I was eating very well while i was breastfeeding and now i find myself skipping meals. Best of luck to you!

Yup, so I've heard. BUT to be honest I breastfed my son for 8 months and I didn't loose or if I did I didn't notice and believe me I eat good when I'm breastfeeding.

Who knows... I think it depends on the person.

I think that's an old wives tale. But your body does burn about 300 calories a day producing milk.
