and if its okay, is it better to have the denim be similar colors or not? i heard from friends and even seen on TV how all denim looks bad, but i tend to think its cool lately. A friend of mine, who is kind of a fashion guru, lets call him BO, says that he loves jeans with jean jackets and is actually looking for a jean jacket just to wear with his jeans. How do you feel?

Well Jay Leno wears denim on denim everyday!! haha must be ok then! All kiddin aside, I think it looks ok as long as the jean jacket is the same shade denim as the jeans. You can't wear a light blue jacket with dark jeans. Most times I see people wearing their denim jackets with kackie pants, or skirts instead. Just depends I guess.

It's definately a fashion don't to wear a denim jacket with denim jeans regardless of the colour.. what about wearing a different pair of trousers or a skirt ?

I think too much denim is bad. Denim on top of denim looks tacky to me. If you wear the denim only wear one. Like just a pair of jeans with a shirt, or just a jean jacket with somethin else besides jeans. especially too much jeans on a guy is not good.

Personally, I think it's too much denim. It's not a fashion don't, but I think jean jackets look better with other materials.

Unless its a denium suit, no. people tend to mix denium jeans with a jacket, which hardly come in the same color. So if your wearing light jeans and your jacket is dark, big mistake. It just does not look right. Your better off wearing jeans with a simple jacket, but this is just my opinion

denin jacket is oh so 80s. denim on denim reminds me of the early 90210 days. just go simple. white shirt + denim pants. lose the jacket. it's a MUST!!!
