Is it true in order to get the W.O.W Burning Crusade game (1/07) you have to sign up now because they are only making as many as they have orders?

no, that is not true, nor does it even make sense.

think about it. are the people you're signing up to actually connected to the people making the game?

no, they aren't connected in any way, other than that one sells the other's products

For the collector's edition, maybe, but most definitely not for the regular edition. That would just be stupid to exclude some people because they didn't want to buy the Burning Crusade at this time.
