Being born prematurely is not the leading cause of having SLD (Slow Learning Disorder) because I was born perfectly and I'm a slow learner, medicly proven. My sister was born prematurely and she is just fine. It has to do with the development of the brain when inside the womb and during your infant years.

Highly unlikely... usually premies catch up to proper development. I would say you may consider that you have your blood checked. You could be lacking in a certain nutritient ... many times kids are not getting enough of a certain vitamin that can affect your learning and memory. There are herbs for such things too. You may consider going to Whole foods and getting some herb tablets for such a thing and a really good multivitamin. Up and your fruits and veggies.
Further, you may want to have a chiropractic adjustment. Its amazing what folks with learning disablities experience after regular adjustments.
Lastly, don't compare yourself to others.. we are all on this journey at our own pace.

One factor you may consider is the vaccinations you had, and whether or not they contained toxic levels of mercury, in the form of thimerosal, and whether or not you got them while on antibiotics which would have been a double shock to your system.
"A growing number of scientists and researchers believe that a relationship between the increase in neurodevelopmental disorders of autism, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, and speech or language delay, and the increased use of thimerosal in vaccines is plausible and deserves more scrutiny." Maybe not a leading cause, but definitely a contributing factor! You might want to see a neurologist and find out how to compensate.
