I am currently living outside of the UK, so I had not heard this. But if it is true (and I can imagine that it might be), then I think that it is just the sort of deliberately inflammatory trick that C4 uses to boost it's ratings. Shame on them.

Not being funny, but haven't you heard of the alternate christmas message before! C4 do it every single year to offer the british viewers a variation to the Queen's annual speech...and to be frank I enjoy listening to the alternative every year.
C4 usually choose characters who differ greatly to the social norm, or characters who may cause contraversy, don't you remember the message from Ali G...there's nothing wrong with c4 giving the christmas mesage to a fully veiled muslim women, this again is a issue that has caused great contraversy this year, but also an individual whose views also deserve to be heard!
If you're not happy then watch the queens message, or view channels 2 or 5, watch sky where you have a multitude of channel or stick in a DVD-Its only 15 mins!!!

Probably mischief making.... C4 know exactly what they are doing when they show many programmes. Personally I don't care whether they show Santa Clause in stockings and suspenders reading an atheist Christmas message... I can't be bothered with any Christmas messages on TV (especially if a politician was to give one!!!)...

I'm sure our ultra left wing BBC would do the same if they thought they could get away with it!
But I won't be watching some alien like woman talking through a gag on C4!!!

Depends what she's got to say. Just cos she wears a veil doesn't necessarily make her one of the firebrand lunatics.
Channel 4 was extremely provoking when it first started, provoking discussion isn't a bad thing.
Ask this question again after the speech to get feedback on what she actually said.

Yes, run by unpatriotic lefties like the rest of the terrestrial channels. I bet their employees look like social workers who abuse their power by thinking that they have the right to indoctrinate us with their unpatriotic garbage.

its obviously designed to be contraversial and up the ratings.
Unfortunately, airing such nonsense desensitizes the public as to the nature and threat of the islamic invasion.
Im so sorry my country is dying at the hands of the loony left.
My grandfather fought to keep our country out of reach of a better class of enemy than that the left is inviting in with open arms

I watch C4 more than any other channel who cares who it is, the speech is probably scripted anyway. BBC is so dull now anyway.

Only the really sad types pay attention to the queen anyway. I can't see why this would provoke people more than any of the alternative Christmas messages of the past. Its just a ploy by Ch4 to get attention & hypes, and boost its ratings.
