If you know where he lives with an address and ssn, the state will go after him.

My ex took me to court 26 years ago. Court papers Stated he was praying to pay child support of $300.00 a month and he wanted visitation rights.
He got what he wanted and yet he only paid for 3 mos and only took advantage visitation for two months. Then he started working for money under the table. I was told there was nothing I could do since there wasn't any reported income. Years later he married a rich woman and he worked for her. I was then told by an Attorney that I could get him to pay because the Court would insist that a value be put on the work he was doing for her. Again I was only paid for a couple to a few months. Him and the new wife separated and he moved out of State and was back to being paid under the table. Talked to another attorney and again there was nothing I could do.
I have recently started receiving checks from the State, he has moved back and is working and the money is being deducted from his pay. In my state he wouldn't be able to renew his Drivers License in less he was paying and he is a Truck Driver. I only get like $64.12 a month and get this, it's in four separate checks. Better than nothing.
I hope you have a Court order for payment, maybe some day Dad will have to anti up.
Good luck!

I hate to burst your bubble but if he works under the table, if he has no check stubs even if he has all that material stuff, it will be a longtime before you see any of it.Here in Michigan, I have a friend that has an ex that makes over $125,000 plus a year, has land, boats cars, apts for rent the whole shabang and he says he makes $18,000 on paper cause he gets cash for the other jobs and she gets like 40 bucks a week. Men are cruel-my own ex owes me $48,000 and my son is 24 now and I will never see any of it.Your mother is the one who has to go in with her divorce papers. It is owed to her, not you.The system SUCKS!

What most people don't know is, you can contact the liaison officer of your local state Representative and ask for their help, but it sounds like your mother should be pursuing this on a legal plain. You can also file a claim at the court in question where the child support was first initiated. GOOD LUCK!

Won't do any good. It is one of the (IMO intentional) loopholes in our laws. All that would happen is wasted time and money. Best thing to do is move and forget it but that is just a suggestion. Besides all your going to do is fester the anger inside which won't help you in any way, just makes it worse.

This is something your mom has to do. She has to
contact the family court when she filed for divorce
and let them know your dad isn't paying child support. Good luck.

your father doesn't owe you any thing, it's your mother he owes, if she doesn't do anything to get it, your father doesn't pay. she is the one that has to get a lawyer. and if she does win she get the money, not you.
