Why do you people keep asking this same question?
Don't you get it already? WE'RE ALL DIFFERENT, deal with it.
Your a lesbian, you want to be accepted for being different, so try on a little acceptence youself.
Everyone has different preferences and tastes. Each to their own.
Why critisize them just because they don't go for the same type you do?
Gees, talk about hypocrisy!
What's with the seperatism here? We're all different, some of us are gay, some are straight, some like tall partners, some like short, some like blues eyes while other like brown or even green, some like blonds while other like brunettes and/or redheads, some like butches while others like femmes, some like studs while others like Twinks, some like hip-hop while other like country, some like ice cream while others like popcycles, some like chocolate while others like vanilla.
We're all different, enjoy it, accept it, cherish it, CELEBRATE IT!

Good question. I am a bi woman and prefer very feminine women, BUT the occasional "masculine" looking one is sometimes very attractive because it helps in role woman-man sex play....

It's just what they like. Honestly, I'm so tired of the question "Why do lesbians date women who look like men? Why not just get a man?". I've explained it a dozen times- a butch women is not a substitute for a man- she's got girlie parts and the whole package is a masculine woman, not a man with breasts and a vagina!
I'm happy for lesbians or bisexual women who are feminine and like feminine women- more power to them. But don't say things in a snotty voice of how "I like my women to look like women" or something like that. It's all a matter of preference, and femme/femme isn't any better than femme/butch or butch/butch.
I myself love butch women (I'm bisexual)- they are so dang sexy in my eyes, and while I can admire the prettiness of girly, feminine women, I really don't have much desire to date them. I've actually found a quote that I love, because it completely expresses exactly how I feel:

I'm dating a woman that everyone SAYS looks like a man but I think she's beautiful. I've never really seen a woman that looks like a man unless she's trying so I'm not really sure what you mean.

My girlfriend is a tomboy. She doesnt do the whole girly thing because its not what makes her comfortable. BUT you can still tell she's a woman....why u ask? BECAUSE SHE'S STILL A WOMAN! And she's sexy as hell & she's everything im attracted to. That's why i've been with her for almost 2 yrs & will stay with her forever.

Cuz they have a weird taste in affection.
They like Butch women cuz they resemble men. I guess they are still not fully lesbian like me. I am very femme and i love femme lesbians who are very pretty and sexy.

I dunno. I personally like feminine women. If I wanted a man, I would go get one. But, a friend of mine told me it's a different kind of masculine. It's the girly-man thing that she likes.
