They always try to make their own version of the truth. When the REAL truth is told, they get mad and say "neo-con", "right-winger", or other such arguments.
One thing is for sure. -they are obviously wrong. Why else would they get so mad when they hear the truth?

I am a conservative and yes I have seen many liberals who cannot accept the truth, but I have also seen the same in many conservatives. The simple fact is that when people cannot argue based on the facts they often resort to the last tactic available which is too discredit or slander. I find that it is generally easy to identify these personality types and once identified just ignore them. Remember the old adage "Who is the bigger fool?, the fool?, or the fool who argues with him?"

Because until the rise of talk radio, and later bloggers, they never had to intellectually defend their positions. The mainstream media was on board and didn't make them defend their stances.
They still have not figured out an intellectual defense to many of their positions, because the MSM is still carrying their water for them. Until most people abandon getting their news from the MSM, the liberals will never have to come up with new ideas and solutions to real world problems.

Mostly everyone does not like the truth. As long as they think they don't know and ignore it they can have some measure of happiness. Once the truth comes out they have to face it and therefore get angry.
