hmm depends who u ask. it can have a negative and positive connotation. negative would be the guy that has to have approval for everything from mom. positive would be the guy that loves mom and her amazing cooking ability and wouldnt trade is mom for any other in the world. i would fall into the later category. i am independant and I get guidance from my parents on life changing issues but dont live by my moms advice. later

A mommas boy is a man that constantly runs everything past his mother before making a decision. What ever it may be from the simplest to the complex....he has to check with momma.
She was and will always be the one person he trusts the most.
Even when married the final word will be from momma.
And in the extreme case momma must always live with him.
I would think this would be a horrible person for any woman to marry. How could she ever hope to measure up. And when momma dies you can bet a major part of him will too.

A "Momma's Boy" is a grown man that is spineless and let's his mother do all his decision making for him. He relies on a female (if not his mother, a wife or sister) to map out his direction in life and see to it that he stays on the right path. A Momma's Boy can function as a normal male in all respects and gives the impression of having control over his life in general. They come from all walks of life; rich, poor, old, young, educated or a complete imbecile. There is tell-tell signs but some are very good at disguising these signs in the beginning from unsuspecting females. The only sure cure for such men is being a domineering self-rightious biddy that thinks she knows it all...or a woman like his dear ole maw.

There are alot of things that define a "momma's boy"...
He needs to consult with his mother on all decisions...big or small.
He calls his mother multiple times a day, every day of the week.
His idea of a good time, is going to his mothers every night for dinner and a movie.
Also.... The expectations he puts on his girlfriend or significant other to "take care of him" are usually unreasonable. If he's unable to take care of himself, due to overzealous care from his mother growing up.... he's probably a momma's boy.

Boy can I answer this one. I was married to a momma's boy. His mother comes first in his life and everything else is secondary. That includes girlfriends and wives. Oh if momma doesn't like you, your life will be miserable. The mother controls everything and will try to control you as well.

My definition of a Momma's boy is a man who does everything his mother suggests, weather he likes it or not. Just to suck up to her and stay in her favor. This type of man usually treats his mother better than his wife. He will do things for his mother that he would complain about doing for his wife. He usually also spends a considerable amount of time at his mothers home. What mother wants comes first and foremost over everything else. So, that is my two cents on that subject!

sometimes a good sensitive man who understands & respects women. Im married to one. Luckily she lives in another state, but he is on the phone with his momma everyday and he loves his momma! I dont mind.

I think it is when the boy still runs back to mommy when he has problems with his girlfriend or wife... involves her in thier problems.. is always defending her even when she is wrong.. just someone who hasn;t cut the umbilical cord yet.. Momma's boys never change and it is a hard relationship to be in because there is always drama.

In my opinion a mommas boy is a good thing. others call boy s mama boys because they have a strong bonded relationship with there mom. a mommas boy is always with his mom or always thinking of her. its not a bad thing not everyone has a mom and son relationship be proud of yours.

1. live home with his mom
2. gives his whole check to his mom
3. only dates women mommy likes
4. wears what mom tells him to wear
5. everytime he has a problem he runs home to his mom
6. choose his mom over his wife and kids
7. give her a bath or dress her when nothing is wrong with her
8. gives mom the key to his house
9. mommy still cleans up after him when he makes a mess
10. clean his house for him
11. got to get permission before doing anything
12. mommy works so he don't have too
