Omega is better than Tag Heuer - or at least this is the general opinion.

I have been selling watches for almost 17 years now and would say it would depend on what you're looking to get from the watch.

The Omega is certainly the more robust watch and with the Co-Axial escapement is far more accurate. Daniel Craig wears one of these in Casino Royale as well, so the high profile image certainly boosts this option at present. This is available in 3 sizes, 3 straps and in black or orange options throughout.

The Monaco Vintage (I assume you mean the white dial with red/white/blue stripe) is a Limited Edition model with only 4000 EVER being made. The dial is based on the overalls Steve McQueen wore in the film 'Le Mans' and was released to commemorate his (would be) 75th birthday.

The chances of bumping into someone with a Monaco Vintage is so minimal compared to the Planet Ocean that it really does stand out in the crowd. Also, as an investment the Monaco will retain a lot of its value whereas the Omega will be just another Omega. For me the exclusivity of this watch outweighs the Planet Ocean.

The Omega is such a great buy! It is especially fun if you get the rubber strap and the leather one so that you can switch them out as you please. The finish on the Omega is a lot better than you'll find on any of the Tags, though they are great watches too.
