Are you telling us you really cannot figure this out for yourself? Vinegar is intensely sour and acidic. Gee whiz, just like insult and sarcasm. Amazing. Are you detecting my sarcasm here? I certainly hope so.

I would say it relates to the saying "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar". Though why anyone would want to catch flies in the first place is beyond me.
