Where did thr Dr say the bleeding was coming from? I would hardly find that to be normal. 2 weeks is a lot! Is it like a regular period or just spotting?

Try to take things easy as much as possible. If things don't ease up in a couple days, go back to your doctor.
Some women are more prone to spotting and bleeding in pregnancy, some even having what seems like regular periods. Of course you're right to feel worried though. While often there is no major danger, sometimes the bleeding can be a sign of other problems and should be monitored.
Good luck and prayers that the bleeding stops.
Extra thought - if your doctor doesn't seem to have empathy for what's happening, get another opinion. You can request copies of your records to take to another doctor.

I had this happen to me. Mine ended in a miscarriage, BUT that was because of a tear in the placenta and even that in all cases doesn't cause a miscarriage. I don't want to scare you....so don't assume that is what your issue is. The ultrasound technician called me and let me know that's where the bleeding was coming from....so if you haven't heard anything like that...it's probably not your issue..
I wanted to let you know that when I was in and they were looking at the ultrasound I was told that sometimes people do bleed through the first trimester and carry to full term. Try drinking lots of water and laying on your left side for a couple hours. Unfortunately all you can do is wait it out to see what happens....I know how fustrating that can be as I had to do the same thing. If you have cramping call your doctor again and talk to them.
Good luck

I had the same problem. I had what was called a subchorionic hemorrhage. What this basically is is a small amount of bleeding that occurs during implantation. Sometimes it does cause a miscarriage if the spot of bleeding gets close to the placenta b/c it can make the placenta separate. Ask your Dr. about this. My Dr. began me on a new treatment of taking progesterone suppositories to help with the bleeding. It finally stopped after about 3 weeks. You can go to this site for more help. http://www.amazingpregnancy.com/pregnancy-articles/191.html

I was bleeding for one night and having bad cramping so i went to the doctor the next day and he said the baby was fine but just in case put me on bed rest for 3 days. I didn't bleed since and my daughter turned out fine. If you experience any hard cramps then call the doctor again. I would take it easy though just in case. Good luck and congratulations on the baby!

when i was 12 weeks pregnant i started bleeding, was rushed to hospital thinking i had lost the baby but after emergency ultrasounds it turned out the baby was fine.( i was also told it is quite common to bleed at 6, 8, and 12 weeks pregnant. i never knew this.) when i saw my reg doc he told me to go home and rest. thats all he ever said when i was still bleeding at 14weeks i couldnt take it anymore so i went to a new doc who discovered my placenta was comming unstuck. he gave me some tablets to stop the bleed and that should help the placenta reattatch. it worked, i stopped bleeding and placenta is now fully attatched. i am due in a week. go to your doctor n if ur told to go home and rest see another doctor!!!!! goodluck!!

Best advice is keep seeing your doc and call if your worried about something. I had some spotting at 6wks and doc told me to take it easy and hold off on intercourse for a few weeks. Took his advice and all is well so far. Just hang in there, follow doc's orders and try not to stress yourself too much because that just makes matters worse. Good luck to you :)

i was bleeding at 7wks and saw babys heart beat. it could be a 'period' if it doesnt stop go back to your doctor as this could be something more seroius but easily fixed.
my bleeding has stopped now, Im 9+4 now, i put it down to a period. if it starts again im going back to the doctors.
good luck
