You're absolutely right. It's time to say: "OK...we tried to liberate you Iraqis, but you let that Sunni-Shiite crap screw it up. So to hell with you...every single towel-head in Iraq is not worth another American life."
Then we pull out...arm the Kurds and tell them that every single square mile they can take over, they can have. In six months, every single Iraqi would be either dead or would have hauled tail out of there, and the Kurds would have their new Kurdistan.

I was against the invasion of Iraq from the onset. But, we are faced with an entirely different situation. Our troops won the war in Iraq. We are losing the peace. It's time we take action to win or get out of Iraq. The question is which way do we go.
We are losing the peace in Iraq because we did not commit enough troops to postwar Iraq. The military advised the Bush administration prior to the invasion that troop levels of several hundred thousand would be needed to establish law and order after toppling Saddam. That commitment could have never happened without reinstating the draft, a route Bush refused to take.
What is going on in Iraq now is not a war. It's civil unrest. It's what would happen here in any American city if the police force was inadequate. Whenever an unstabilizing force outnumbers a stabilizing force the result is havoc.
If the crime rate were to increase in New York City, do we abandon the city or hire more cops?
Hi-tech weapons, tanks, and aircraft cannot establish law and order. That will take boots on the ground. A lot more boots than we seem to be willing to commit.

The U.S just really needs to get out of globalism, and stop bringing more/different problems into other places. Nobody wanted the U.S. there in the first place, it was a really stupid idea to interfere no matter what justifications politicians will use. There will always be problems in that area of the world, the U.S. needs to look at fixing it's own issues, and quit demanding that other cultures accept our distorted, antiquated, and unarticulate "morality" "culture"and "democracy".

That is the conservative controlled media for you. Iraq is a mess and their is no end in the foreseeable time, Bush will leave this mess for whomever takes office in 2008, costing maybe another 1000 troops lives and maybe 10,000 wounded with about 150,000 more dead Iraqis

Well, the problems over there are growing, but it is not just because of Bush. This conflict has been going on for centuries. It's just that now, they have better technology to use against each other.
