I don't know about the Supreme Court enforcing this, BUT...

My 7 yr old cousin told me yesterday that when she gets to 5th & 6th grade they will divide the boys and girls in different classes all year.

it quite is an exciting concept yet i'm worried the we can finally end up with the "separate yet equivalent" concern we had whilst blacks and whites went to cut up faculties. It replaced into separate, all ideal, yet no longer often equivalent. i'm no longer so hectic relating to the rundown faculties and the old textbooks many predominately black faculties had yet distinctive classes of be taught they could have. it could be a competent threat to lead the two girls and boys into stereotyped gender roles and in the direction of careers that are seen suited to their gender quite than their person abilities and hobbies.

They are considering lifting an order that required certain school districts to bus students to schools outside of their 'neighborhood school' to reduce defacto segregation - self-imposed segregation on the black community when they congregated in a certain area of town that was served by one school and very few white people moved to that part of town.

The Supreme Court is not voting on whether to mandate same sex schools. It is voting on whether to allow them to be started up. Most existing mixed schools would stay the same.

Wouldn't be such a bad idea...after all, girls and boys learn differently and at different rates. Might also cut down on the teenage pregnancies, but that's a whole other can of worms.

I doubt this is true as the Supreme Court has no jurisdiction to make something like this happen. They can only interpret law; not make it. Either way, it's a horrible idea.

Not sure, I heard something about it though. If they make all schools seperate, I guess we can say goodbye to opposite sexes learning how to understand each other. And say goodbye to opposite sex relationships since it will be almost impossible for each sex to learn enough about the other enough to date and connect. The only people in good relationships will mostly be those with great families who know how to hook their children up with others. Unless they have friends in the neigborhood.

It has to do with race. They are deciding if you can send certain students to certain schools based on their race.
