I wouldn't buy one with out a freeview tuner built in! - Reason being, some of the cheap DVD Recorders or ever Hard-Disk recorders which have no tuner enable you to record the incoming source only. If you have one with a tuner built in, you'll be able to record you favourite program on one channel, whilst watching something else on another. Without a built in tuner, it'll only record what you are currently watching, which could be a bit of a pain. My advise is go in to your local electrical retailer and speak to a salesman to discuss the best hardware for your budget. Then take a note of the make and model number and go buy it online even cheaper! :-)

Best thing to do is find someone under the age to 20 to set it up for you as when you are over 20 any electrical item, manual available or not becomes a mystery.
Good Luck...failing that try the website of the products for an online version...but still get a teen to set it up for you.

You could find the manufacturer website for these products and download the manual directly from them.
