This is an unfortunate problem because there really is no way to make stretch marks disappear. They are essentially scars due to overstretching of the skin and after collagen remodeling has occurred, they're there to stay.

The only way to get rid of them completely, actually, is surgery. Usually in the form of a tummy tuck. That is, of course, if they're in a location that can be removed with the operation.

In terms of prevention, cocoa butter and vitamin E lotions applied once or twice a day while pregnant will moisten the skin and help it expand and prevent the collagen damage that causes them in the first place. Unfortunately, that will only work against future stretch marks with future pregnancies.

There are no stretch mark creams that totally heal all stretch marks. A stretch mark forms when your skin expands faster than the collagen and elastin in your skin are formed. Nothing you apply topically is going to fix this. Time will fade them, though, and Strivectin will help.
