Make a donation to a favorite charity in their name. Attach the notice of this to something useful but disposable: a box of beautiful chocolates (like Godiva), fancy soap, or a luxury food item.
I do this for my Mom...the Godivas and a donation to the Salvation Army is her favorite gift.
Happy Holidays to you and those you love. :-)

Give them a gift of your time. Offer to clean the house for them or go over to the house and cook them dinner. Spend time with them, you can't get enough of time.

A sentimental gift. A movie or scrapbook of their years together.

How about your time. You can help your folks around the house, for instance, take the trash out, if you can cook, cook a meal for them, just sit and visit with them.
