I think the Jews suffered more physically and emotionally- for a short period of time, you hardly ever hear of discrimination against Jews. The Blacks suffered for many years though and many, many can still recall the mid 60's and before with the piercing hatred toward them; hatred from the ancestors of the same people who forced them against their will to come to America and be slaves. Today blacks still are discriminated against- this website is a perfect example.
I was looking at the recent situations, not 1000's of years back.
Many of the Jews were left to live and starve in the concentration camps, not all were killed right away. That is why there are still many alive today to tell their stories of the Holocaust. After the slaves were freed they were still treated like sh*t and many still today. Jews seem to have risen and rebounded well from the Holocaust, it didn't cause them to be suppressed for many years after.

I really loathe comparing the two. Personally, I think you shouldn't for they are vastly different. I will however answer your questions.

Blacks suffered more. By looking at my suff-o-meter, it shows that blacks suffered for many centuries starting back in Africa when they were first invaded by the Arabs and Europeans and to this present day. They were stripped of their culture and made lower than an animal. They were essentially brainwashed and reprogrammed.

When a person dies, the suffering ends. When a person lives, the suffering continues. There were millions slaughtered in Europe. It was horrific for those that died but for them, their suffering was over; it was more horrific for those who survived. One thing for sure, many seem to be tired of hearing about both slavery and the holocaust. To me, they are both similar with one glaring difference: Jews maintained their heritage. Their culture and language remained intact. It is far worse to be stripped of who you are. Who is a man without an identity? He is nothing.

This nothing is what makes black slavery so much worst. How can a man be something when he is nothing? He has nothing inside to hold on to for all that he was has been stripped away. Blacks are a lost tribe (I should say tribes because not all blacks were from the same tribe in Africa). Today, blacks are still trying to find their identity.

Blacks as a whole have not been able to assimilate with success because no matter what they managed to accomplish, they were always reminded of their blackness. Blackness became a mark of shame. Every time a black was hung, denied work, denied entrance to school, denied the privileges of whites, a hole was punched deeper into the soul and the psyche of blacks. Yes, it is true that Jews were shunned as well, but remember, Jews had the advantage of self-identity and the ability to pass is they wanted. A dark-skinned black had no way to escape the shame of blackness. These blacks with no true identity (an identity that comes from being connected with the ancestors) were the father and mothers of the generations of lost individuals who had to try to find a home is a place that didn’t want them (That is messed up). They were raised with the knowledge of a hurtful and hate filled past. What you see today is a result of a broken and empty soul. It is this empty soul and lost identiy that makes blacks suffer more.

You know it is not so that Jews mostly had a nice life before the Holocaust. Read about the history of Jews, it is a long time span, an enormous extent of hate and a lot of suffering.

Biblical history proves that the Jews, be it black or white, got it the worst. They were in Egypt for 400 yrs. Not to mention Assyria, Babylon, Ethiopia and Persia. The original Jews were dispersed to the four corners of the earth. Who is the face on Israel today? This is real Israel, yea or nay?

Let me start out by qualifying my opinion. I am bi-racial. I am not Jewish. So my opinion is only based on my family and life experiences.

It is my belief that Africa and African Americans have had it worse then the people of the Jewish faith. I say this because I look at both communities today: The Jews have a previously non-existent country given to them after WWII (Israel), The Israelis have an ongoing relationship with the U.S. that basically has us act as their private military. Our entire system of Government acts in the best interest of Israel at each step of the way. No? Don't agree? When have you ever heard on television, or from any political figure, what it is like to be a Palestinian or an Arab? When have you ever heard the conditions that they live under? Israeli tanks are driving through Palestinian neighborhoods too you know. And lastly, Jewish Americans seem to have a strong foothold in the Entertainment, Legal, Accounting, and Medical fields.

Let's compare this to the situation of the African and African American. Africans live in the most resource rich continent on earth, yet see little to no reward for their resources or for their labor in harvesting these resources. Africa is still thought to be a Country by most Americans. African Americans have the highest drop out/ failure rates in American schools and subsequently the highest occupancy rates of American jails. African Americans are a race of people CREATED by slavery. Remember 100 million Africans didn't sign up for a boat cruise. They were dragged in shackles to come to America as slaves. How much wealth do you think America amassed as a result of a free labor force? Do you think that without slave labor America would be as well off as it is today? The slaves that were lucky enough to survive the Middle Passage were forced to stop speaking their native languages and cease practicing any of their native customs. They were told to speak English but forbidden the opportunity to be educated properly. Generations and generations and generations and generations and generations and generations and generations of African based slaves were forbidden a formal or even equal education until 1954. Do you think that this could effect the ability for the African based slaves to succesfully integrate into American business and society? Do you think that perhaps the African based slaves may have unintentionally passed on the slave mentality to their children as a means of survival? Do you think this slave mentality has hindered growth and education in the African American community?

To me the answer is simple as I have stated it. I do not have any issues with Israel or the Jewish faith but when asked I do believe they have been wronged but appropriate measures have been taken to rectify that. Both within the community and from the International community as well. But I ask where is the apology for slavery? Where is the International community? Where is Israel for Africans?

I apologize if I have offended any one with my opinion. It is only my opinion and not intended to offend. I just hope that as time continues we can move forward and forgive. Thus truly becoming a global culture of one!
