my suggestion is to wait till stores restock and go really early in the morning to buy one. This site should help u find out when stores restock:

E.B. Games
Blockbuster
Toys R' Us
and ask if you can get put on a preorder list. Ask if there are any Wii's coming in before Christmas. If so the will put you on the list and you just go pick it up. You usually have to put money down.
If that doesn't work. Do like I did and call your local Walmart Super Center and ask when there next shipment of Wii's are coming in and how many. Then go there the day before and wait. They can sell at 12:01 a.m. at night since its technically the next day. I went at 11:00am on the 18th of Nov and waited till midnight (13hrs) it sucked but went by fast bring a good book. Good luck. Its an awesome system.

Break out the Yellow Pages and stay on the phone until you find one! (Most stores are supposed to get more shipments from Nintendo before Christmas.) Try Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Toys-R-Us, etc...

Most stores like EB Games sell "packages" that include extras such as games and controllers which drives the price up to the $400 mark but you don't have to wait in line.

Anywhere in stores, if you get in on Ebya and places like that, it will be jacked up.
If any stores are selling it higher than the 250$, they should be reported.

go order it at www.hmv.co.uk.com from the uk for only 179.99 and it comes out in the uk december 8th and you can order games and acsessories
