I am 15 and i have just been allowed to use makeup but I don't know really where to begin. I have very light skin to go with my red hair and brown eyes. If you could give me some advise as what to wear and what not to wear and what brands to use and how to use that would be sooooooo great!

Try this link... but apply cream or lotion onto your skin before the foundation... it doesn't mention that:

OK first of all your 15 so don't mess up your skin by putting on foundation, powder or concealer that really damages your skin in the long run so keep your face free form that stuff. well what i would recommend is mascara, pencil eye liner(black), and blush. that's what i use its not a lot but its enough for someone to notice, its simple and pretty. The brand that i would recommend is MAC, its great, also if you go to their department and ask what colors would go with you they will help you a lot and give you great advice on how to apply your makeup. well good luck<3

You are probably fair skinned, so don't get anything dark. You'll look like a hooker. Start out with some tinted lipgloss, eyeshadows in peach/brown/pinks, and maybe 2 blushes in a peachy color and pink color.(wear the peach eyeshadow with peach blush...pink with pink) Also...Brown/black mascara looks more natural than black, especially on fair skinned people.
If you have clear skin, then you probably dont need foundation.
Stay away from black heavy eyeliner...unless you're going for the Goth look.
I'd use brown eyeliner if any. The pencil type that twist up are the easiest. And if you don't want it running, try a waterproof type. Liquid is really hard to master.

I think a nice natural look is achived with these few products. i use body shop products becasue i am trying to do the right thing environmentally and socially, and this is the best place i know to buy from in this regard.
1. apply with a large blush brush, some coral powder blush to the apples of your cheeks. this is located by smiling and then applying to the 'apple' pr part that sticks out the most. blend outwards into the rest of the cheek without adding more blush to the brush. also dust your nose with a little blush too.
2. use a eyelash curler to prepare your lashed for mascara. you just want them to have a nice curl upwards - trial and error are necessary to get used to this, but it is UBER important
3. apply a black/brown mascara on you top and outer bottom lashes.
4. apply some nice lipgloss that isnt too dark that looks natural but shiny and that looks good with you colouring - maybe a corally colour.

the people at the body shop will help you pick appropriate products and even show you how to apply it i think!

If you can go to the mall, they usually have women in the make up counter areas who can help you figure out your colors. A mary kay representative could be helpful too.

You dont have to buy what they have, just ask them for some guidance and then purchase the best type of makeup that you can afford.

Look at Bree on Desperate Housewives. She wears some pink, green, and red (yes she is much older than you are) but you could look at her for some general guidelines as for color too.

You will need some foundation with an olive undertone. Go for pinks and shades of green.

since youre young i bet you have pretty good skin. Merle Norman have great products. I would use a foundation first. Please don't use black eyeliner or mascra. It really only goes with those that have dark features (eyes, hair and skin color). I bet a light brown would do good, keeping it as close to your natural color as possible. Make up is to accentuate your features, not too totally change them (like using black mascara to make red eyelashes black). Blush would really bring out red hair. Remember to only use it on the apples of your cheeks and extending a little around the area between your eyes and hairline.

You always want to look natural, not made up. Use make up to enhance what you have naturally.

Do go to the counters and let the people try different things on you. The most important thing to remember is to keep your skin healthy and cleansed, that's what matters most. Makeup looks awful on bad skin.

Cleanse thoroughly and get facials too. I know they cost money but at least try every few months or so, it's worth it. Sometimes insurance might pay with dermatologists referral..

Less is best! As fun as make-up can be, keeping it natural is by far the most attractive. (Boy's think so too)Use earth tones on your eyes and from what you say about your coloring, peachy pinks for the colors on your lips and cheeks. As for brands, try Bare Minerals for your skin...it's 100% natural and won't make you breakout. MAC has great colors...and they are the best for blending...oh there's something you should know..BLENDING!!!! Go to your nearest MAC counter and buy a couple of good blending brushes... expensive but worth it! (Don't be fooled by others less informed!)

One thing is very important, don't overdo your makeup. You are not very skilled since you just started to use makeup, natural-look is the best way to do it.
