Question

Im 11.4 weeks pregnant, when does my 1st trimester end and how many weeks will i be when im considered 4 months pregnant? Thanks soooo much :)!!!

Usually 12-14 weeks will end your 1st trimester. Your second will begin concurrently. There usually is a demarkation at 4 mos. So after 14 weeks should begin your 2nd!

Different books say different things, but I think the 1st trimester end after week 13 is completed. There are 3 Trimesters and pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks, so each one is 13 weeks and a few days.

As for 4 months pregnant, I think that is after week 17 or so. You will be in your 4th month at the beginning of week 14.

Hope that helps. My wife and I have been going through this recently, since we did not want to tell a lot of people until the 1st trimester was over.

And a note to other responders, pregnancy lasts 9 months, not 10 months. The problem arises when you count a month as 4 weeks (28 days) instead of 30-31 days. Think back to you last period and add about 9 months (not 10), and that is the date your baby was born.

Your second trimester begins the first day of your 14th week. You are 4 months pregnant at 16 weeks. However there are actually 10 lunar months in a pregnancy not 9 so you will be 10 months on your due date. I wouldn't worry about calculating months because you'll be dispointed when you're 9 months and still have 4 weeks until the baby is due. Pregnancy is calculated from your last menstrual period so two of those weeks you weren't actually pregnant. So how far along your baby is gestationaly is off by two weeks.

The first trimester is considered up to 12 weeks but you have to complete the whole 3 months and you will be 4 months when you are 16 weeks.

I believe your first trimester ends right around your 12 or 13 week mark! I always just counted 4 weeks into a month..so when I was 20 weeks I considered myself 5 months..because technically you are pregnant for 10 months not nine..but they give you a 2 week either way that's why most docs say 9 months GOOD LUCK!! its traditionally 12 weeks is your second trimester...you can figure out the months by using the lunar calendar method. that's 4 weeks per month...for example if someone is 24 weeks....24/4= 6 months. but then there are some people that put the few days here and there that are missing out of a lunar month and try to be more exact. i say dont worry about it...my doctors and i have used the lunar calendar method and it's easier to calculate!

There are actually 4.3 weeks in one month, on average, more or less.

Your first trimester (three months) ends at about 13 weeks.

So at 4 months pregnant, you would be just over 17 weeks.
