I just bought Energy Conversion Devices, symbol ENER. They make the batteries for hybrid cars, like the Prius.

Read an investment bood (I recommend "The Wealthy Barber") and educate yourself.
Long Term investments should be in Mutual Funds made up of many diversified stocks. Look for 5 & 10 year track records. Stay away form the "hottest fund." Usually that will end up being one of the worst choices for the next few years.

If you have a nice diversified portfolio of stocks would be a great investment. For example, invest 50% in stocks, choosing stocks with great fundamentals and pays dividends (have some technology stocks in there as well for better returns in the next few years), 30% in ETF's, again choose the best ones, and then invest the remaining 20% in oil & gold/silver stocks.

Hi,
Forex/CFD/Stock trading if you have sufficient skills and experience. But if you have no experience then it would be related with high risk. So if you don't have sufficient knowledge you may invest it with any trader taht accepts private investments.
I'm forex trader - analyst and I accept private investments. Usually I pay to investors at least 5% monthly for 12 months. Reasonable investment amount is US$10K (ten thousand) and above but minimum could be less.
If you are interesting in collaboration then PM or e-mail me (press my name) and I provide you with further investment details

It depends on several things. What is your risk tolerance? Do you have outstanding debt? Do you have an emergency savings? Do you think you might need the money soon? What is your financial goal for this money?
I suggest you learn a bit about investing. You can do this for free online. Morningstar.com has a good online classroom. So does Vanguard.

IMO, it's really important for you to take responsibility for your money. Please don't just depend on answers given by strangers on a website. Learning the basics of investing is so easy even a caveman could do it.
