I have recently become a victim of internet credit card fraud. All of the charges were related to "adult" websites. I have questioned my son about this and he is very adamant that he did not do it. I plan to file a police report on the issue. However, before doing so, I want to make sure that my son is not the culprit. I have checked the history on his Internet Explorer and nothing was there. Is there anything else I should do. I do not want to open up a can of worms with the authorities if it is not necessary. I also don't want my son to be charged with fraud. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Do a search for *.jpg If you find a bunch of naked pictures then you know that your son is visiting the adult sites.

If the charges were made on line, the company that processed the charge as a record of the IP address where the charge was placed from. If you have a dynamic IP that frequently changes, you'll need to contact your ISP to determine if your machine had that IP at the time that the charge was placed.
