I saw a question like that and it made me wonder. When my best friend calls, I don't always answer it. I just don't always want to talk to her, is that a bad thing? Do you always answer when your best friend calls?

Hey you have your good days and bad days. =) Of course, it's ok to not answer the phone evertime your best friend calls, in my opinion. You have your own life too and your own issues, errands, downdays etc....where it is HUMANE not wanting to be bothered. Don't feel guilty cause you didn't answer your phone. I don't always want to talk to my friends too. I'm an upfront person so usually if they ask why I didn't pick up and its because I didn't feel like talking I say, "Cause I wasn't really up to talking at that moment, I got caught up, was watching a good movie, whatever the case maybe. If you don't feel like being honest with her than tell her you were busy or didn't hear your phone ring. In my opinion though, I feel this would be wrong so your just better off telling her the truth. She probaly would respect you more and if she doesn't than obviously she has a posess control issue on you not answering your phone everytime she calls........Well good luck and talk to you soon! =)

I have had the same best friend for 20 years. Last year I moved 2500 miles away from her. And I still do not always answer the phone when she calls, but I do return her calls. She'll always be my best friend and I'll always be here for her but there are times I just dont want to talk and I know she does the same thing.

If is someone who calls every 30 minutes, then I wouldn't answer every time. If they call to just chat and don't call very often, then it shouldn't bother you that much. If you are having a bad day, turn the phone/ ringer off and watch tv or something to relax. Let them leave a voice message and find out what they want. Call them back when you are ready to talk to them.

My best friend moved away to Florida last year and we haven't seen each other for over a year! Yes, I do answer the phone because I don't get to talk to her as much and we're both very busy with our own lives!

I don't always answer when my best friend calls. I have an answering machine though, so if it's important I can call her back. But I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

You don't EVER have to answer the phone if you don't want to. If you don't feel like chatting, that's what voicemail is for. Why feel forced to talk to someone? That would be a drag, friend or not.

NO I do not always answer.
But I try not to hit the ignore button. That is kind of rude cause once you get sent straight to v/m it is kind of irritating to know you have been ignored.

Sometimes, you just happen to be busy, or doing something else and do not want to get distracted.
With that being said, you should call back at some point.

NO I DONT ANSWER THE PHONE LIKE ALWAYS WHEN THEY CALL!!! I JUST SAY I WAS ON THE OTHER LINE WITH A FAMILY MEMBER OR SOMETHING WHEN I RETURN THE CALL AT MY CONVIENIENCE
