I recently got into a car accedent and when I went to the window at the hospital to give them my infomation I found out I had no Medical insurence!! Now for my Question.... Can I get MediCal to help me pay for my hospital and ambulance bills if/when I didn't have medical insurence when I got in the accedent? My other Question was isn't the state suppost to have some medical plan to help people with no insurence? Last Question.... If MediCal does not do it then which medical plan does?

Oh and just to add My Medical Claims person (which was my medical insurence before) did not tell me that I had to come in every month to renew my plan!!!!

First off if you were in a car accident then somebody's AUTO insurance is responsible. Second, you can try for MediCal, but I wouldn't hold my breath. A lot of hospitals have medical spend downs if you can not afford your bill. You need to check into that after you find out who's AUTO insurance is responsible for covering your medical bills.

How could you not know whether or not you were insured? It is your responsibility (not California's, not the hospital's) to be on top of that.
The rest of us pay many thousands of dollars a year for our medical insurance, and even then, we have to pay our deductibles and co-payments. One of the reasons that our rates are so high is that people like you can't be bothered to look after yourself.
Grow up and take responsibility.

Ask it they have a cherity aplication that you may feel out. Most hospitial have cherity money so they have cherity aplication but they will not tell you about it unless you ask. Our go to the state and ask for help.

If you qualify for med-ical, they will pay for your bills if you act fast.
