Our 2000 Honda Civic was stolen 3 days ago. KBB is $8000. We just went to check it out. The following things are gone: the entire front of the vehicle was stripped. There is not one piece of metal meaning no hood, bumper, fender, grill, side wheel cover things). However, the engine and mechanical pieces seem to be intact (this is just visual inspection). There are no headlights and there appears to no longer be any headlight wiring.
The steering column and ignition are busted. The drivers side window was taken and our stereo was taken. They took the black plastic pieces on the bottom of the vehicle that are attached to the doors. They began to unwire our side mirrors and took all the speaker covers and damaged the door panel. The inside of the trunk is ruined. When stealing the spare tire and jack they just ripped up the floor and broke the carboard piece and carpet piece--it smells bad. It also looks like they tried removing the bumper--it may be bent? How much damage in dollars?

It is totaled, However I would expect insurance to pay
somewhere between the retail amount ant the trade in amount... But never accept the first offer, if you have rental car insurance make them supply you with one while this is being resolved.... but if you have only PLPD you could be out of luck

Wow this one is getting greater than a number of feed lower back. properly kiddo to procure it and you own it. There are no longer any rules pointing out that wrecked, flooded, blown up or regardless of occurred could desire to be mentioned to vehicle fax, no longer something. They, vehicle fax, retrieve their the help of coverage companies. you haven't any longer have been given any case what so ever.the only element that would take place is out of the goodness of the sellers coronary heart, very no longer likely. to procure something as is the place is and how is. to procure the vehicle waiting for it to be lined by employing the manufacturing unit guarantee, no longer something incorrect with this. in spite of the incontrovertible fact which you probably did no longer envision into it. to procure a vehicle on line from a cyber web internet site that has no longer something to do with attempting to be certain the itemizing the two. you haven't any longer have been given a case of fake advertising. Totaled automobiles are offered and purchased daily. automobiles get totaled, coverage companies, pending the coverage style, purchase the automobiles and sell them low-value attempting to recoup a number of their money. The purchasers get those issues, restore them and sell off them. ok restore is a wide time era. right here yet another tid bit. to procure a vehicle that modify into totaled and repaired. properly now you have a partly rebuilt/ restored motor vehicle that modify into geared up by employing hand. Wrecked automobiles could properly be mounted observing the wear and on occasion could properly be made new lower back, on occasion. although if there is major physique harm it in simple terms isn't the comparable. that's while a vehicle desires to be crushed, except somebody can stay with the wear. in case you're hectic a pair of guarantee you ought to purchase a vehicle guarantee which in lots of situations is greater valuable than the manufacturing unit guarantee.

Yes, that car is almost certainly totaled. this will be at least 7000 in repairs. A car is only totaled, though, if the damage is 75-80% of the car's worth.

Sorry for your loss so close to Xmas, But yes I would say it is totaled. Even if you get it repaired , you will have problems because I have never heard of anyone getting the car rewired correctly once the wiring is messed up.
Good luck!

To give you a bit of hpe in this matter...i have a 92 honda accord and i hit a deer and had a van side swipe me all in one week...the estimated damage was $4000+ and they fixed it...and that was a 1992 car...so there might be a bit of hope for you...but i doubt it.

in all likely hood they will not total it out because they will use recycled parts(used parts) or aftermarket parts to put you car back together. they will only use new OE parts when no other parts are available. the way i understand the insurance company has to fix the car to before the accident condition, it doesn't mean they have to use new parts they just have to get the car back to you in its before incident state. so no they wont total it.

It would be cheaper to buy a new car. That car is not worth fixing to much time and money.
