That there is no metanarratives (likes Marxism or Feminism). History is irrelevant (in the past so to speak) and globalisation (Macdonaldalisation) and modernism is prevalant.
Post modernism argues that our world is so diverse (e.g. with all the different religions) that we can have a choice about anything we choose to be or choose to belive in. It also can argue that because of this there is a greater chance of conflict - too many differences can not be amended.
(Extreme) Postmodernists sometimes also argues that all beliefs are true to the people who hold them (for instance - if someone belives in God, it is as true as if someone belives the world was created by some sort of spaghetti monster).
