do a personalized ornament for each person. if you go to a scrapbooking store (or even just a craft store), you can find all sorts of little miniature things (like rattles for a baby, golf balls for a golfer, or a hairdryer for a hairdresser) -- buy those for each individual person and a bunch of little dollar store type ornaments and paste them on. it'd be really cute a fun.

I actually just made a wreath for my own door, I bet family and friends would enjoy getting their own wreath made just for them! It's really simple to make one, I just went to Wal-Mart and bought a blank wreath($4.88), some mini clear lights with green wire(1 set of 20, 1 set of 50. Set of 20 was 97 cents, set of 50 was about 3 dollars.), some miniature ornaments(I chose two kinds of snowflakes and some miniature balls but you could use anything you want to fit whoever you're giving it to, these are 97 cents a package), a few berry sprays(97 cents ea.), a package of 6 small bows($2.88), a hot glue gun(about a dollar) and glue sticks. All you have to do is wrap the wreath with the lights, cut your berries into small clusters(if you decide to use them of course) then put your decorations in place before gluing so you can see how it will look, and finally glue all the decorations! It only took me about an hour and it came out great! Good luck and happy holidays!

i made pomanders, earrings and scarves for people this year. pomanders are simply oranges that have been covered i nwhole cloves then dried. they smell awesome and if you hang them in the closet the lovely spicy citrus smell lightly scents ur clothes. ive given them outi nthe past and everyone loves them.

for women i make beaded earrings, those are simple, thoughtful and inexpensive.

scarves are great for anyone who lives in a cold climate but they can be time consuming so itsa gift thats best only for those you really really like lol.

for the ulimate crowd pleaser though a container of cookies is awesome. create you own cookie recipe (it can be as simple as modifying the flavouring, or chocolate chip amounts in one you aloready have) and give them to people in a cool container. chinese takeout boxes are big this year. get some in season colours, tie so shiny ribbon on the handle and write a personal message on the front. you can pt ore than one kind of cookie in there to make it more speical. kind of likea holiday cookie sampler.
