Don't get a business license and degree confused.
If you want to get a business degree (MBA) then go to a 4 year university, graduate, and obtain your degree.
However, if you want a business license - contact your Secretary of State. Keep in mind that most states do not require a business license - however some cities (if you operate within city limits) require it.
Do you need a degree to open your own business? Of course not.

Most business licenses can be purchased at court houses. It's basically just a permit, but depending on the type of business you might need to be insured and bonded.

I just went to my local court house. I paid $20 and had one in about 15 minutes. No classes or degree needed.

Just go to the city clerk's office! Take your check book, that's the only requirement.

all you need is a business name in mind, decide whether you want your business to be a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation, do a name search and register.
