What are the factors that actually make a person ask a stupid question and hit the submit button?.......Is it loneliness, drugs, etc. Please give me your thoughts.

Well, let me see....You got up this morning. Scratched your butt, walked over to the computer and turned it on........I could say few brain cells, boredom, loneliness.

Not to be rude, but some people could consider yours a dumb question. Its all relative. Realizing that you're not above people will help deal with those that you think are asking dumb questions though. And you might think it is a dumb question, but how can you get frustrated with someone who is just trying to obtain knowledge? Patience is a virtue. You can also look at the fact that you might be smarter than others as a gift you can pass on. The next time someone asks something dumb question, try responding from a place of caring, patience and understanding and see if you don't have a different view afterwards. The world has enough smart people... we need more nice ones! :-)

I thought there was no such thing as a dumb question...except one that doesnt get asked....
What may be a dumb question to you is a lack of knowledge on another's behalf. If you are speaking of those lame, insulting questions, you must realize that many people come here out of boredom, and ask silly questions to entertain themselves and others.

It's simple...dumb people ask dumb questions...or they are not the dumb ones..but U are b/c U think the question is dumb. Asking questions leads to knowledge of some sort. Check yourself.

It's the same reasons why I'm sure you have asked stupid questions in the past. For every question you have, there's always going to be someone who thinks what you asked is stupid.
